Laurent Frescaline is an electrical engineer and a co-founder of I-Pulse. He founded and served as Chief Executive Officer of International Technologies at High Pulsed Power (ITHPP), a successful high-technology, electrical engineering company specializing in high voltage, high pulsed-power applications.
In the 1990s he joined the plasma physics lab of Ecole Polytechnique de Paris to launch the High Pulsed Power program in cooperation with the French Defense Agency. He served as the Head of International Relationships for the program, responsible for cooperation with other large scale research centers such as Sandia National Laboratories in the U.S.
Mr. Frescaline founded I-Pulse with Robert Friedland in 2007 to develop high-pulsed power solutions for civilian applications and served as the company’s first CEO. He sold ITHPP in 2010 to fully commit to the advancement of high pulsed powered solutions with I-Pulse.
He also co-founded and served as director at Marseilles-based Kietta, a company developing a seaborne drone technology offering a revolutionary approach to offshore seismic exploration while protecting sea life.
Mr. Frescaline was granted the title of Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite (Knight of the National Order of Merit) in 2010, at the age of 43 for exceptional contributions to French national security and defense.
At I-Pulse, he has overseen the development and launch of multiple technologies as well as their commercialization through independent subsidiaries with dedicated, expert management teams.
